Friday, June 12th, 2009Mesothelioma is a type of cancer caused due to the deposition of asbestos particles inside the body. There are three categories of Mesothelioma such as Pleural Mesothelioma, Peritoneal Mesothelioma and Pericardial Mesothelioma. The symptoms of this condition do not start appearing till the time cancer has spread beyond curable limits. The most obvious symptoms of include chest pain accompanied by a persistent cough, shortness of breath, unexplained tiredness and loss of appetite, rust coloured sputum, and dizziness. Bronchitis, wheezing and persistent pneumonia are other symptoms. A doctor can subsequently gain information on the work atmosphere of the patient and relate it to these symptoms followed by proven clinical tests and go on to establish as to if these are in fact symptoms of Mesothelioma.
