Cajun Seasoning

The word Cajun refers to an ethnic group that lives in Louisiana and who have become pretty popular for their cuisine. These people descend from the Acadians and the word Cajun is another variant of Acadian. Cajun cuisine relies heavily on some methods of cooking like barbequing, boiling, frying and deep frying beside others. Like any other specific traditional food, Cajun food uses its own ingredients, its own methods and its own Cajun seasoning.

Today people have started using various seasoning mixes in order to expand the range of flavors added to their food. The Cajun seasoning mixes rely a lot on bay leaves, bell peppers and black peppers, on celery, garlic, onion and parsley, on sugarcane and thyme. The Cajun seasoning mixes can be very helpful in boosting taste for sauces and seafood.
