New restaurants in eastern Iowa
February 27th, 2008I am personally going to make a map of all the restaurants in the eastern Iowa tourism region of the state as I seem to be spending a lot of my time there. My desire first started when a girlfriend of mine in the area started taking me out to eat to repay me for chores that I had done for her. I did a lot of chores so there were a lot of meals. She doesn’t like to take the time to cook so the restaurant idea was launched. We only went to the same restaurant once every other meal was at a different place. The funny thing was that we would start to run into the same people in different establishments. Then I found out one of the things she did was to read the local attractions section of the paper. She would read about a place with a good review and want to go check it out. Apparently there were several other couples in the area doing the same thing. Most of these restaurants were recently opened and it seems that is one of the best ways to get your initial business. You call up the local paper and offer their food critic a free meal in exchange for a review.
