Free Sweet Corn Dripping in Butter!
If you are from the Midwest you know that there isn’t much better in the late summer than freshly cooked sweet corn dripping in butter. In order to truly enjoy it you should experience the pleasure of having sweet corn at a festival to celebrate the wonderful food.
There are a number of sweet corn celebrations around the Midwest that encourage you to come to their communities and eat free corn as well as spend your money in their town. One of those celebrations is in a small town in Northwest Iowa. The community of Esterville doesn’t have a huge population base but they sure know how to make you want their corn!
So plan to spend a little while in Iowa during the summer and eat your fill of great, free, sweet corn. It’s so good you will want to take some home with you, there will certainly be vendors willing to sell you some at the local Farmers Market or out of the back of a pick up along the road. Fresh sweet corn dripping in butter, doesn’t get much better than that.
