Juicer Basic Information
A juicer is a kitchen appliance designed with one specific purpose in mind, which is to extract the liquid from fruits.
This product is similar in appearance to a blender. However, unlike the blender, which blends ingredients together and keeps all of the parts of fruit or vegetable together, a juicer operates differently.
There are basically two types of juicers. One type of juicer is called a masticating juicer. Masticating simply means to chew. This appliance chews up the fruit. The end product of this process is a type of pureed product such as butter or a spread type product.
The other type is a centrifugal juicer operates like a laboratory centrifuge. The blades within the juicer operate at a high-speed and extract the pulp or fiber. The pulp or fiber is captured in a waste container attached to the appliance.
