There are three herbs you’ll want on hand in your cupboard, ready at the first sign of a cold. These powerhouse herbs can prevent the cold from taking root, knocking it out within a couple of days, saving you most of the miseries of the common cold. These herbs are echinacea, garlic and ginger. Echinacea gives your immune system an immediate boost, allowing your body to fight off and sometimes even prevent the cold. Take three or four capsules three times a day. Grab your garlic and ingest this in quantity. Raw is best, as cooking tends to dilute the effect. Garlic and parsley capsules, with parsley combating the garlic breath, will work.

I was given the opportunity to try Tim Hortons coffee when I took a vacation in the Great White North about a month ago. You probably know that this franchise is pretty much a Canadian institution. Finding an adult in Canada who had never had Tim Hortons coffee before is the same as finding an adult who had never tried a McDonald’s hamburger in the U.S. Anyway, I could see why all my Canadian friends raved about the place because I thoroughly enjoyed the brew at that chain. In the course of my two week stay in Canada, I became completely addicted to the stuff.

Essiac tea is a combination of herbs developed by a Canadian nurse. She treated her mother, diagnosed with liver cancer in 1935, with these herbs. Although doctors had said she had only a short time to live, Rene’s mother fully recovered after ten days of treatment. Consult with an herbalist on dosage, as these herbs are very powerful.

Different brands of green tea on the market do not contain the same levels of antioxidants. Actually it shows a wide variation from one brand to another. Today there is no lack for quality tea in India or anywhere else, and chai is often made with some of the best black teas in the world. A strong tea is usually preferred, such as a Ceylon or Darjeeling, so that the flavor of the tea doesn’t get completely lost with the spices. Chai teas are usually served mixed with sugar and milk. A common method in making chai is to boil all the ingredients together, the milk, sugar, water, spices and tea, and then strain the liquid afterwards.

After being diagnosed with and getting medicated for ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), I can speak to the “magic of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime and other herbal teas without exaggeration: the ones that are developed/grown to help calm and foster sleep really do just that. In other words, if a wired-for-sound, 17-hour-a-day person can fall into peaceful slumber over a cup of tea, anyone needing rest/sleep can.

Usually a party is lame because people aren’t interacting. Getting people to interact isn’t as easy as it sounds, just take a look at a bus stop or subway station to get an idea of how much people spend time around each other without saying a word or even making eye contact.

These baskets range from traditional to contemporary. The air hostess gifts are a disoriented formality. A good wine cork screw opener will make sure that all goes well. You can choose up a bunch of used but pretty baskets from your local goodwill or thrift store. Another wonderful idea is to include in the basket candles and bath salts for that romantic evening. Think about what your given customer would absolutely like. Gift baskets with a special wine and gourmet cheese are always a welcomed gift to receive. This is the most recent gift that keeps on overflow.

Do you drink flavored coffee? Now this can be interpreted in different ways. If you are java savvy, like most people are these days, then you probably know about the various syrups you can add to your latte or cappuccino. However, you can also purchase flavored coffee beans. This way, if you have an espresso machine in your home, you can simply dump some flavored coffee beans in the grinder and indulge in the java of your choice. My wife can’t get enough of the flavored coffee craze. She loves all those crazy flavors such as; brown sugar brule, Boston cream pie, and German chocolate. These actually seem to be more popular today than good old-fashioned espresso blend.
