Deep fryer should only be used with safety in mind

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Deep fryers are not popular these days as deep fried foods are considered unhealthy. This is especially for people with heart conditions or those with an inability to control cholesterol.

Though you may be tempted to have a deep fryer in your home, it may not be the smartest thing you can do.

There is nothing healthy about eating deep-fried food, even though you can use better oils when you’re deep frying.

There are people who use a deep fryer and enjoy the taste of the food. These people usually take the precautions and have good experiences.

Sometimes good tasting food overrides any dangers posed to your health or your home.

Especially when you are aware of the dangers and take preventative measures to ensure the safety of your home and family.

So You Want to Open a Restaurant?

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

A successful restaurant will need a good design and layout plan.  Many restaurants will open and serve a bottle of wine brought by the patron.  For example, you could try more international recipes if your restaurant is situated in a place which is of interest to foreign tourists.  Are you willing to eat out at a restaurant that not only offers best food, but its surroundings should also be mesmerizing.  As restaurant is situated in South Street Seaport, there is a lot of variety in sea food and beef products that adorn the menus of these restaurants.  If the food of his is not tasty and does not raise the customer’s taste buds, then nobody will visit that restaurant.  A restaurant owner has to be selective and have a creative bent of mind, so that his restaurant can have appealing touch to every aspect.

One important aspect of making a restraurant successful is keeping the overhead down. It’s important to start making those decisions even before you open your doors.  If possible, purchase good quality used restaurant equipment such as fryers, griddles, refrigerators, ranges and ovens, along with grills and broilers. This type of financial management will help keep your business in the “black”.

Food Vacuum Sealers

Monday, April 9th, 2007

When it comes to leftovers, you may find that you end up with a lot of containers in your refrigerator that people either won’t touch, or that spoil before anyone gets a chance to eat them. Younger children may not be able to tell when something is spoiled, and they run the risk of eating something they shouldn’t. There isn’t always time to check up on everything either, though some people miraculously seem to find the time. I do not and throwing out leftovers is something that happens in one marathon session each week. I don’t know why I bother to save anything because it spoils so quickly. Perhaps I need to look into food vacuum sealers. More food and cooking articles.

Hot Cooking Sauce - to add flavor to your quick meals

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

Our middle son that loves everything extra spicy grabbed the bottle of hot sauce to have at the table. We said grace and began passing the wonderful smelling dinner. Our middle son poured extra hot sauce on his helping and took a big mouthful. His eyes welled up and his face turned bright red. It took him several minutes before he could speak.

At first we thought he was giving his brother a hard time, and then we realized that he was not joking. I tasted the food and thought that it was hot and spicy, but very good. My husband looked at the bottle of hot sauce. I had bought the extra extra hot sauce! It was the double hot dose.

Our middle son recovered after a piece of bread and a glass of water. I do not think he will ever use hot sauce again without first reading the label.
