Christmas cookies are great for snacks during the Christmas season, wonderful Christmas gifts, can be used as decorations and ornaments and of course, don’t forget the plate of Christmas cookies for Saint Nicholas.

Stained Glass Cookies are a beautiful cookie to make at Christmas time. These are elegant looking and very easy to make. Start with rolled cookie dough, Cut cookies into any shape you like. Cut away the inside of the cookie leaving a ½” edge around the outside. Place the cookie with the cut-out center on a foil lined cookie tray and fill the middle with crushed lifesavers. Bake the cookies until the candy is melted and the cookies are browned. Allow the cookies to cool on the tray before removing them from the pan.

If you have never made decorated sugar cookies by yourself, you should try it. Fresh cookies are always better than store-bought ones, And there is nothing more satisfying than feeding the people you love your own cookies. Baking for people is a joy like no other.

The decorated sugar cookies seem to taste best just after they have been freshly baked and are still slightly hot. They taste delicious and crumble in your mouth.

While I am baking them, I usually eat one or two myself, just to make sure they are properly cooked. Well that’s my excuse and I am going to stick with it!

Look, if the children do not eat them, I would eat them all myself! Including the crumbs.

Chocolate Brownies

When I make chocolate brownies at home I never include nuts. Even though my husband would likely to put them in, I simply cannot stand them within a brownie. I am open to putting other things in brownies however, and one of my most favorite additions is peanut butter. Other times, we like to make double chocolate brownies, or perhaps just make a double batch so that they are thick and chewy.
