Wake up to a blueberry smoothie!

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Smoothie recipes are very easy to follow and extremely delicious. Instead of skipping breakfast and hurrying to work or school, invest 5 minuttes to blend your favorite fruit and get a one-stop meal that will fuel you through the day.

The blueberry smoothie is very healthy and can be made to fit your diet (low carb | fat). There are only a few ingredients, but only your imagination sets the limit on what you can blend in. You can even add a spoon of your favorite protein supplement and increase the (good) calories that give you the necessary fuel for your busy day.

Save Money Using A Home Capresso Espresso Machines

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Just as coffee became extra popular, so has espresso machines of all shapes and sizes. It’s not simply about massive coffee grinders and commercial grade espresso machines for businesses anymore. Now you can choose from a variety of capresso espresso machines and other great brands for the home. Let’s do a little math. Ponder for a moment how much you spend on coffee every day at the local coffee shop. More than likely, you fork out anywhere from two to five dollars on a single caffeinated beverage. But what if you get that java fix more than once each day. We’ll assume for a moment that you spend four dollars on your favorite latte. If you’re getting it twice each day, that’s eight dollars a day. Now let’s multiply that times five days a week. Now you have 40 dollars. If you purchase coffee or espresso drinks on the weekends as well, that number just went up. It would be much cheaper to invest in a capresso espresso machines.

I didn’t buy the meat saw parts the last article recommended. But I do know that my cooking time has lessened and my cooking has actually improved since getting this skillet.

Grind the beans in short bursts until it resembles the coffee grounds you get out of a pre-ground package. Use the same amount of grounds as you would normally use for your coffee……….”

Healthy Food For Healthy Cholesterol

Monday, August 25th, 2008

One of the things you can do to start reducing your bad cholesterol is having a healthy breakfast every day. One of the easiest ways to slip soluble fiber into your diet is with a breakfast of oats. Oatmeal or oat bran is a very good way to reduce your bad cholesterol levels. Ten grams a day of soluble fiber is what you should aim for.

Also, some cooking oils such as palm and coconut oil are bad for you. If you’re working at reducing cholesterol then switching to healthier oil will help do this. Olive oil has been talked about for some time now as the healthiest vegetable oil out there. Two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in your daily diet can help to lower bad cholesterol levels while leaving your good cholesterol levels intact.

Walnuts also have the added bonus of keeping your blood vessels healthy and elastic. A handful everyday should do the trick, try and eat them raw.

Freshly Ground Coffee Beans

Friday, August 8th, 2008

I love coffee and I am quite picky about how it tastes. Once I discovered the taste of freshly ground coffee beans, it was hard for me to think of using anything else. Though it takes me a little longer to get my coffee going in the morning, the results are worth it.

Most already ground coffee is just fine, but there is just something wonderful about grinding your own coffee beans, loading up the machine, and tasting the amazing taste of the resulting fresh cup of coffee.

I drink several cups every day and have a kitchen which is fully stocked with various flavors of caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee. I consider myself to be more of a coffee addict than an aficionado and because all I care about is whether or not it tastes good.ÂÂ
