Arabica Coffee

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

Are you one of those individuals who are utterly grouchy and irritable every morning if you don’t have your coffee? Many people have told me this before. Apparently that early surge of caffeine is what perks them up and gets them going. I must say for me it is quite different. Sure I love a great cup of arabica coffee in the a.m., but it’s not for the caffeine aspect. I love my daily java fix for the plain and simple taste. It really doesn’t have anything to do with the caffeine in it. I can have an iced latte before I go to bed and I will still sleep like a baby. So I personally have never understood the whole spiel about caffeine keeping you awake. My body must be unaffected by the key ingredient. Anyway, what is your reason for drinking coffee on a regular basis? Is it the eye-opening caffeine, or the incomparable taste? On the other hand, maybe it’s both.

Filet Mignon For Christmas Day

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Instead of the usual turkey, we have decided to serve filet mignon this Christmas. I want to treat every one in my family to this delicate, delicious supreme cut of beef. I have placed a large order with my favourite gourmet butcher, who will deliver the meat to my home, the day before Christmas Day.

This will give us time to prepare the meat, for cooking the next day. My whole extended family will be there, including, children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents. It is the only time of the year when every one makes an effort to be at the one place, on Christmas Day.
