You may wonder what makes organic fruit and vegetables healthier than the other array of apples, bananas, oranges, beans, carrots, and broccoli you see in the local supermarket. Well, there are a few distinctions actually. It all begins with the pesticides. Most farmers are using nasty pesticides on their fruits and vegetables in order to assist their farming abilities and increase produce numbers. Sadly these chemicals bleed into the fruits and vegetables, hence leaving them tainted and less healthy.

Now, you may wonder why you should care if you’re consuming organic products or not. This is a simple one. When you eat foods that are not organic, such as dairy products and meat, you’re also eating loads of hormones and antibiotics that have been pumped into the animals. This is not good for your body, and many believe that it leads to cancer.

Vitamin B-1, or thiamine deficiencies can cause leg cramps, weak muscles and enlarging of the heart. Foods that are rich sources of vitamin B-1 include organ meats, wheat germ, bran, whole grains, molasses, eggs, dark green vegetables, beans, soybeans, nuts and berries. Vitamin B2, riboflavin deficiencies result in lip cracks, light sensitivity, tongue inflammation, dermatitis and irritation of the mucous membranes. Some of the best natural cures for constipation are things that you eat every day. In many cases, there are no medications needed. If you were to eat, for example, raisin bran on a daily basis, you will find that you are more regular thing you ever were before. Other natural cures for constipation might be eating prunes, though they are not very pleasant, or any other type of fruit that aids in digestion. You may also want to try cereals that are high in fiber each morning for breakfast.

So how do you eat to lose weight? The first thing you want to do is slow down. You are more likely to overeat if you scarf your meals down too quickly. You have to give your stomach enough time to tell your brain that it is full. I know it sounds silly but it does take time to process this information. Choose whole foods. When you eat to lose weight, you are best off picking foods that are not processed. The more stuff that is done to the food, the more fattening it is likely to be. Natural foods are best and they take a little longer to eat. Raw veggies and fruits have to be chewed well and this takes more time than ingesting a piece of cheesecake.

There are some quick dinner recipes that I have come up with on my own. Perhaps quick might not be the best word, as many of them are simple but not so quick. One of my husband’s favorites is my homemade lasagna. Though it takes almost two hours to prepare this, it is very easy to do. Most of that time is spent baking or boiling noodles. Other than that it is one of my favorite quick dinner recipes. I only call it quick because the preparation on my part is minimal.

There are many simple ways you can enjoy low-fat cooking without compromising on taste. One of the best things you can do is to cook with a healthy oil. Though you may still be getting calories from the fat, at least you know you’re using a healthy fat. Try to exchange your vegetable oil for a healthier oil like canola or olive oil. This will cut out the trans fats in your diet that may be harming your heart. For truly low-fat cooking, you must eliminate the oil altogether. You can accomplish this by using your oven and putting away your deep fryer.

Only nature can perform the complete life processâ€â€? the transformation of inorganic substances from out of the earth into organic plants and their eventual consumption by animals and human beings. Unfortunately, “civilization” has, through many generations contributed to the development of today’s average man, whose vital chemistry frequently is denatured, deficient and unbalanced. This “feat” modern man has accomplished to a large degree by overcooking the natural food elements in his diet and eating the denatured, devitalized results. This is something that is not to be found in lower creatures regardless of what one element they may eat, for they eat as nature provides.
To revitalize the chemistry of the body, vitally perfect foods will have to be consumed. As the natural properties of foods change through cooking or chemical processes, and the use of heat beyond body temperature destroys food values completely, the process must and should be discarded. My recipes for foodboth cold and hot (or, rather, warm)are rich in true vitamins and their use will give you a body, consistently well, disease-resistant, and therefore beautiful. It will be capable of healing and rebuilding itself and will remain youthfully active throughout its entire life span.

Her mom took pride in her Italian cooking, and you could taste it in every bite she served. I’ll never forget the love that family shared during their family gatherings, and I remember that it centered around the food, and the tradition of Italian cooking. Her mom said if a sauce can be cooked in under a few hours, it wasn’t really sauce.

The problem with cooking with a lot of hot pepper sauces is that your friends have to like them. This isn’t a problem with most things. If you like to use a lot of salt, you can use less salt when you have friends over who like it less. If you like to use a lot of onions, you can prepare onions with a side dish and leave them out of the main course. But if you like to use hot pepper sauce, it needs to go on everything. Spicy cooking works as a system. You can’t just take the spice out of the dish and expect it to taste good. You are leaving out an essential ingredient, and the flavor will suffer. Of course, people who don’t like hot pepper sauce don’t know very much about flavor. I haven’t met a single person who doesn’t like hot pepper sauce and has an interesting pallet. Most of them like the basics: meat and potatoes. If your friends fit into this category, they might not even notice the dish is not right!
